Plenty of wind early this morning, but by 9am once the tide had dropped a little the we ather station was also showing that the wind had eased off with some big 10 knot lulls now and then so I decided not to bother.

Shem then phoned to say that there was plenty of wind on the beach so I ignored the weather station and headed across to the beach.

I took my big wave board, a 5m sail and a 5.6m sail and just in case there was only a small amount of wind my big board as well.

Once on the beach, it was clear that the weather station was reading accurately and it was a day for bigger kit so I rigged the 5.6m and my bog board.

I did manage to get going, but only just and couldn't gain any ground upwind, so after a couple of walks of shame back upwind I decided to call it a day.

What a frustrating sport windsurfing is! I guess I should look on the bright side though, the sun was shining and I didn't break anything!
